Hazel Valley Students Donate Over A Ton Of Food To White Center Food Bank

Students from Hazel Valley Elementary School recently held a food drive to support the White Center Food Bank, and in just over a week donated over one ton of food (2,289 pounds to be exact) to support their community.

This food drive was held between Aprol 13th and 22nd, during the Feinstein Million Dollar Challenge, which provides matching funds to donations.

“A big thank you goes out to all that participated – your generosity is greatly appreciated,” said a press release from the Highline School District.

The White Center Food Bank serves families in White Center, Burien and Seattle.
