These robberies occurred at Hispanic businesses in the Burien area, and during two of the robberies the suspect wore a wig.

On Nov. 8 at approximately 5:30 p.m. a man entered the Grocery Video Cuautla store in the 200 block of SW 152nd Street, pointed a gun at customers and employees and told them to get on the ground. The suspect took cash from the register and fled out the back of the store.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s about 5’6” to 5’9” inches tall with a mustache. He was wearing a light brown wig, a fake beard and was dressed in a navy blue top with a grey collar, and blue jeans. Witnesses said he spoke in “Spanglish” with a Hispanic accent.

On Nov. 17 just before 7:30 p.m., deputies responded to a robbery at the Tienda Mexican store in the 17700 block of Ambaum Blvd SW. A man robbed the store at gun point and fled on foot northbound. He was described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s, 5’6” to 5’9” medium build with black pants, a dark colored ski mask and a handgun.

On Nov. 25 at 6:25 p.m., Burien police units were dispatched to the La Ceibita Market and Restaurant at the 14200 block of 1st Ave S. to a report of a robbery. The suspect entered the business wearing a blonde wig and pointed a handgun at an employee demanding money. The suspect fled with cash out of a south facing door and through the Fred Meyer parking lot.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 5’ 6” to 5’9” inches tall, with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing dark glasses, a thin black mustache, and a long blonde wig. The wig from this robbery was found near S138th and 2nd Ave S during a search of the area.

Witnesses in each of the robberies said that the suspect’s clothes were baggy and it appeared that Spanish was his primary language.

No injuries were reported in any of the robberies. Video was obtained from the robbery on the 8th.
