As we previously reported, Grant was fatally shot near the 10600 block of 14th Ave SW after he tried to intervene in a robbery.

He died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

The shooting suspect escaped, and is still at large. He was described as a black male wearing a dark hoodie, shorts, and a red mask.

According to a Facebook post, there will be a candlelight service for Grant Friday, July 17 at 9 p.m. at the Coronado Springs Apartment Homes, located at 1400 SW 107th Street.

Eddy was my Cousin. Someone named Kelly Housell Vick set up a GoFundMe for Eddys funeral. They never told us. They collected donations and now wont give it to the family. This is the fund: They collected $345.00 and is keeping the money. It’s a straight-up fraud. When Eddies niece tries to contact Kelly she tells her all kind of stories. It’s been a month they have the money and wont give it to Eddys kids. Dont donate to that fund, we’re trying to have it shut down. When my family tries to warn people to not donate Kelly somehow deletes the comments. We are contacting gofund. If you donated your money well lets just say kelly got us, not his family.
