Superintendent to speak before Evergreen’s Homecoming game tonight

Evergreen/TEC High School will be playing its annual Homecoming football game at Highline Memorial Stdium in Burien tonight – Friday, Oct. 23 – against Bainbridge.

At 6:45 p.m. there will be a special presentation by Highline Public Schools Superintendent Susan Enfield, along with Director of Athletics Terri McMahan, to honor the memory of the late Evergreen player Kenney Bui.

Kick off is at 7 p.m.

Bands and cheerleaders from other Highline high schools will be in the stands as a show of support for the Evergreen community.

Donations will be accepted inside the gate for the Kenney Bui Memorial Scholarship, which will be presented at Highline’s Scholar-Athlete, Coach, and Community Recognition Banquet to be held in the spring. Checks should be made payable to the Highline Schools Foundation.

NOTE: The game scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30 at Foster will not be held.

Contributions to the Kenney Bui Memorial Scholarship may also be made through the Highline Schools Foundation website.
