UPDATE: ‘Plant in the park’ for Halloween has been CANCELLED

UPDATE: This event has been cancelled, due to winds and heavy rain predicted for Halloween.

“Not great conditions for little ones to be tromping around in the forest,” said Lina Anne Rose, Volunteer Program Coordinator for King COUNTY Parks. “I will be rescheduling and will write with a new date. Thanks for your support!”

King County Parks is inviting all to a family-friendly volunteer ‘Planting in the Park’ event at White Center Heights Park this Saturday, Oct. 31 – Halloween – from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

There will be planting in the park to help build a healthier forest, as well as a nature scavenger hunt for children along with a Halloween treat.

“Come and learn about the plants and animals of this great neighborhood park, have fun and help your community thrive!”

Costumes are welcome, but may get dirty or muddy.

Please contact Lina Rose, Volunteer Coordinator for more information and/or to sign up, 206.491.5014, [email protected] as they will need to know how many people to expect so they can bring enough tools and TREATS!
