White Center Heights students help kick off ‘1 Million Trees’ campaign Thursday


On Thursday (April 14), students from White Center Heights Elementary School helped kick off the ‘1 Million Trees’ campaign at White Center Heights Park.

At the event, King County Executive Dow Constantine described how this new program will “help achieve one of the early-action goals of King County’s Strategic Climate Action Plan.”

Constantine was joined by King County Councilmember Joe McDermott, plus partnership representatives from Forterra, The Nature Consortium, The Nature Conservancy, The Boeing Company, Mountains to Sound Greenway, along with the local students.
