Local Actress Angela DiMarco is co-starring in the new film “Brides to Be,” which will world premiere at the Twist of Pride Film Festival on Friday, June 17 at the SIFF Cinema Egyptian.

The film will premiere at 10 p.m. at the theater, located at 805 E. Pine Street in Seattle.

Many of our Readers may recall DiMarco from a previous story we did about her film “Paralytic.”

Here’s the synopsis:

Robin & Jenna are getting married. Robin is excited beyond words; Jenna is plagued by panic attacks and struggles to write her vows. But when they arrive at their secluded fairy-tale venue, sinister forces besiege them, threatening to tear them apart.

BRIDES TO BE is both a love story and a psychological thriller, a timeless romance and a haunted house. Skillfully mixing genres, it explores how doubt and fear can be imposed upon us and infect us from within, but only if we let it.

“Brides to Be” was filmed at an actual haunted mansion in Marymoor Park, Redmond.

About Twist of Pride Film Festival
The Twist of Pride Film Festival is presented in partnership with Three Dollar Bill Cinema. “Brides to Be” will be preceded by the 1996 film “Crocodile Tears” at 7:30p. There will be a Q&A followed by joint panel discussion with a cocktail break in the Egyptian lobby. “Brides” will start at 10p with a Q&A after.

Tickets will be $10 per screening or $15 for both films.

Written and directed (in Seattle) by Ted Sod, “Crocodile Tears” is the story of a bitter stand-up comic who discovers that he’s HIV positive. He makes a deal with the devil to perform three deeds in exchange for becoming HIV negative again. The film has an appearance by Dan Savage.
