Mudslide closes Highland Park Way SW in White Center Wednesday
A large mudslide has closed Highland Park Way SW between SW Holden Street and W. Marginal Way Wednesday morning, Feb. 15.
Several trees have been reported over the roadway, and power was also lost in the area.
Heavy rains obviously loaded the hillside, which slid into the road.
Drivers are advised to take alternate routes until the landslide can be cleaned up.
Also, Metro Route 131 is currently rerouted off Highland Park Way SW, due to the blockage. Riders are advised to use the stops on 8th Ave SW south of SW Roxbury Street, or on 4th Ave S. north of S. Michigan Street until further notice.
ICYMI: Highland Park Way SW remains closed between SW Holden St and W Marginal Way SW due to a landslide. Use alternate routes.

They've blocked the hill, so you'll need to take Roxbury. Power is out at Roxbury and 8th. Expect huge delays leaving White Center/Hghlnd Pk https://t.co/0LO1aTvBGS

Power outages in Highland Park and White Center due to a landslide. Treat dark intersections as 4-way stops! https://t.co/3gbaogUs8M
