Here’s more from their Facebook event page:

Since our inception, we have been part of an amazing journey and we know we have grown in a “real” way because of the relationships we have built with residents, community groups, youth, businesses and the many partners who have been part of White Center’s path in creating a strong community, one day at a time!

This year, join us as we welcome Attorney Generals Doug Chin (Hawaii) and Bob Ferguson (WA). They will share remarks pertaining to his work not only on the immigration legislation, but also speak to the importance of communities working together with systems and local government to keep each other safe from harm to stop marginalization of communities of color as a result of laws and policies that may continue to perpetuate oppression and racism in all its forms. This topic is extremely pertinent to White Center and welcome his comments to our amazing community.

Come celebrate 15 years of leadership that the White Center CDA has provided to our White Center community. Many of us remember that first year, and the CDA efforts to give the business district a face lift. Volunteers painted the front of many of the businesses and cleaned the sidewalks and streets.

This 15th celebration will be great, the food will be great, and there will be lots of auction items, including wine baskets and desserts. The CDA will have two speakers who are national leaders of justice for all. It will be a great evening. Check out the web site, buy tickets and come support the White Center CDA.
