ELECTION RESULTS 2: Nguyen extends lead over Braddock for 34th District


The second round of results for Tuesday’s (Aug. 7) Primary Election were released by King County Elections on Wednesday afternoon (Aug. 8), and Joe Nguyen has extended his lead over Shannon Braddock to 461 votes/1.62%, up from 199 votes/.82% on Tuesday.

The top two vote-getters for each position – regardless of party affiliation – will move onto the Nov. 6 General Election ballot.

Legislative District 34 State Senator:

  • Joe Nguyen (Prefers Democratic Party): 8,035 • 28.22%
  • Shannon Braddock (Prefers Democratic Party): 7,574 • 26.6%
  • Lois Schipper (Prefers Democratic Party): 2,752 • 9.66%
  • Sofia Aragon (Prefers Democratic Party): 2,447 • 8.59%
  • Darla Green (Prefers Republican Party): 2,441 • 8.57%
  • Courtney Lyle (Prefers Republican Party): 1,879 • 6.6%
  • Debi Wagner (Prefers Independent Party): 946 • 3.32%
  • Lisa Ryan Devereau (Prefers Democratic Party): 906 • 3.18%
  • Annabel Quintero (Prefers Democratic Party): 717 • 2.52%
  • Hillary Shaw (States No Party Preference): 482 • 1.69%
  • Lemuel W. Charleston (Prefers Democrat Party): 298 • 1.05%

  • Karen Keiser (Prefers Democratic Party): 11,720 • 68.75%
