UPDATE: 18-year old man shot multiple times in White Center Monday night

An 18-year old man was shot multiple times in the 10600 block of 16th Ave SW in White Center (map below) Monday night, June 3 at around 11:20 p.m.

Police say that an occupied vehicle with 4 people was in the parking lot of the Saars Market when two suspects approached it and at least one started shooting at one of the male occupants inside the car.

The victim, an 18-year old male from SeaTac, was struck multiple times.

Both suspects fled in a vehicle.

Detectives hope to be able to release a vehicle description later today.

The first Deputies on-scene provided first aid to the victim until King County Medic 1 arrived. Paramedics were able to stabilize the victim and they transported him to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

As of Tuesday morning (June 4), the victim remains in critical condition at Harborview.

At this time it is unknown if this was a gang related shooting.

And to think I walked through that parking lot with my baby just earlier that afternoon and we saw 2 people strung out bobbing and dozing in their cars… drugs, crime and homelessness are real issues that need to be addressed!

They have some of the same problems at the North Burien Safeway . The parking lot is a mess crime drugs spare change asking . Seems like there also a lot more people from Seattle moving to the white center and Burien area . Some are fine people but there are some odd ball acting people to .

I think they really need to have security guards there again . Even though they seem to be just standing around it seems to keep crime away .
