The King County Sheriff’s Office responded to two armed robberies at separate 7-Eleven locations in the White Center/Burien area on Wednesday night, Oct. 9, 2024, shortly before 9 p.m.
Police said the incidents occurred within minutes of each other, and both involved a suspect using a firearm to demand cash from store registers.
The first robbery took place at the 7-Eleven in the 11000 block of 8th Ave South, in the unincorporated White Center area. Deputies reported that a male suspect entered the store, brandished a gun, and stole money from the cash register before fleeing the scene.
While deputies were investigating the initial incident, they were dispatched to a second robbery at another 7-Eleven on the 11600 block of Des Moines Memorial Drive South. A similar crime had occurred, with a suspect using a firearm to take cash.
No injuries were reported in either robbery.
At this time, there is no additional information on the suspect or suspects involved, or whether they were related.
“There is no information linking these incidents at this time,” KCSO Communications Manager Brandyn Hull told South King Media. “Both cases are still being investigated.”
The King County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incidents and urges anyone with information to come forward by calling the non-emergency phone at 206-296-3311.
