King County Parks is inviting community members to roll up their sleeves and take part in a Volunteer Work Party at North Shorewood Park this Saturday, July 19, 2025.

The event – which will run from 9 a.m. to Noon – is part of the county’s ongoing efforts to engage residents in local park stewardship and habitat restoration.

Volunteers will help with tasks such as removing invasive plants, planting native species and beautifying the park grounds.

The event is free and open to all ages and abilities. Organizers are encouraging attendees to wear sturdy shoes and bring water.

Tools, gloves and training will be provided.

The park is located in the North Shorewood neighborhood of White Center (map below).

Those interested can register by scanning the QR code on the event flyer below or by visiting King County Parks’ website here.

The day is also an opportunity to meet neighbors and enjoy one of White Center’s hidden gems.

North Shorewood Park is located at 10061 21st Ave SW:
