White Center kids and families will get to watch “Moana 2” under the stars this Friday night, Aug. 15, 2025, after the animated sequel won more than 1,100 community votes in King County Parks’ Big Backyard Movie poll.

The free outdoor movie screening will take place this Friday night starting at 9:20 p.m. at Mel Olson Stadium at Steve Cox Memorial Park (map below). Doors open at 8 p.m.

Covered stadium seating is available, so even if it rains the movie will screen.

The Dub Sea Fish Sticks will open their concession stand for snacks, and White Center Teen Program Rec Aides will offer Moana 2-themed crafts for kids before the movie begins.

The Big Backyard Movies series is produced by King County Parks and aims to bring families together for free, fun, and accessible entertainment.
