Local Artist Maureen Hoffmann and her exhibit ‘Italian Stone: Artist’s Muse’ will be celebrated with an Opening Reception at the Highline Heritage Museum on Friday, May 5, 2023.
Hosted by Burien Arts, Hoffmann’s reception will run from 6 – 7 p.m., and her art will be on exhibit at the museum from May – June, 2023.
A second reception for Artists United will run from 7 – 8 p.m.
Admission to both receptions is free.

Pulling from her 60,000 photos taken in Italy over 15 years, Maureen has combined photos with graphic overlays for one-of-a-kind monoprints. Her works include images of Milan, Florence, Venice, monuments, cobblestones, manuscripts, and textiles.
A graphic designer for forty-five years (forty of them with her own business), Maureen works both independently and collaboratively. Her clients include children’s book writers, hospitals, accountants, architects, consultants, museums, contractors, rag merchants, lighting designers, engineers, copywriters, food brokers, and insurance companies, among others. She is also a web designer.
Named Burien Citizen of the Year, 2013, Maureen founded and runs Walk/Bike Burien (WABI ), a program of guided walks and rides around town. See https://wabiburien.org/
