The White Center Food Bank is inviting the community to cool off with free ice cream and local art during its Ice Cream Social + Open House on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event will be held at the food bank’s new facility at 10016 16th Ave SW (map below) and will feature treats from Puffy Pandy, an appearance from Rat City Art Walk artists, and guided tours of the food bank’s community-centered space.

“This is a great opportunity to come together, celebrate creativity, and learn more about how we support the White Center community,” organizers said in a statement.

Visitors can enjoy a rotating art exhibit curated as part of the Rat City Art Walk, meet staff, and get a firsthand look at how the food bank serves local families in need.

The open house aims to foster greater engagement between the food bank and neighbors, all while offering a relaxed, family-friendly environment.

No RSVP is required, and guests are encouraged to bring a friend.
