The Rotary Club of Burien and White Center recognized six local high school students as January Students of the Month during a gathering on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026 at Azteca in Burien, honoring students from Highline High School, Kennedy Catholic High School and Evergreen High School.

Students recognized include:

  • Highline High School: Jerry Martinez Ramos and Katelynh Le
  • Kennedy Catholic High School: Nicholas Beardemphl and Siobhan Shannon
  • Evergreen High School: Jade Rodriguez and Devin Mitchell

The club said the students were selected for “their hard work, leadership, and commitment to excellence,” and highlighted the program as part of its ongoing support for youth in the Burien and White Center area.

“Congratulations to each of these students on their achievements,” Rotarians said in a statement. “The Rotary Club of Burien and White Center is proud to support and celebrate the next generation of leaders in our community.”

The Rotary Club of Burien / White Center has proudly served our community for over 70 years. In that time, members have volunteered countless hours and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support local causes, scholarships, and service projects.

The Rotary Club of Burien and White Center holds regular meetings at Noon on the first, second and third Thursdays each month at Azteca Restaurant in Burien. On the fourth Thursday, the club hosts a rotating venue happy hour with details available on request, and on a fifth Thursday, when one occurs, it meets jointly with the Rotary Club of SeaTac.
