Community organizations and public health partners will host a free handgun lockbox giveaway in White Center on Wednesday, June 3, as part of National Gun Violence Awareness Month.

According to event organizers, free handgun lockboxes will be available while supplies last from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the former Bartell Drugs location at 9600 15th Ave. SW in White Center (map below).

The event is intended to promote firearm safety and secure gun storage within the community.

Organizations listed on the event flyer include Public Health Seattle and King County, the Regional Office of Gun Violence Prevention, the Alliance for Gun Responsibility Foundation and Public Health.
