King County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man in White Center last month after responding to a domestic violence call involving a possibly armed suspect holding a 5-year-old child in a closet, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The man’s girlfriend told deputies he had terrorized and threatened her for three days. The mother and child were OK following the incident, the agency said.

The Sheriff’s Office credited its Southwest deputies and the use of drones in a social media post accompanying video of the response:

Deputies arrested the man on suspicion of offenses including assault, kidnapping, violation of a court order and unlawful possession of a firearm, according to the agency.

The Sheriff’s Office said a federal armed robbery conviction several years earlier prohibited him from possessing a gun.
