Community invited to opening weekend of White Center HUB building Jan. 24-25

The White Center Community Development Association (WCCDA) will celebrate the opening of its new Hope, Unity, and Belonging building, known as the HUB, with a two-day ribbon cutting celebration on Saturday, Jan. 24, and Sunday, Jan. 25, according to the organization.

Both days will begin at 11:30 a.m. at 10829 8th Ave SW in White Center (map below).

Saturday, Jan. 24 will feature the official ribbon cutting ceremony, while Sunday, Jan. 25 will focus on family-oriented activities.

Visitors are invited to tour the new space, enjoy local food, connect with HUB tenants and view the “Rooted in White Center” docuseries, the White Center Community Development Association said.

The event will also include kid friendly activities.

“This moment is made possible by our funders, partners, community champions, and the many voices of CDA past, this space belongs to all of us,” the WCCDA said.

Parking at the site is limited, and attendees are encouraged to carpool, take transit or park along 108th Ave SW, according to the association.
