DESCRIPTION:From our friends at WABI Burien: \n\n\n\nAfter a several year hiatus\, WABI Burien will restart organized community bike rides\, beginning on Wednesday\, March 29\, 2023. \nOur first ride will take place on a section of the beautiful Green River Trail on Wednesday\, March 29 beginning at 10 a.m. The trail links industrial lands to pastoral landscapes\, parks\, communities\, and river views throughout the route. \n\n\n\nBikers will meet at the Green River trail parking area in Tukwila located behind the Holiday Inn-Express and cycle south toward Kent. \nWe will plan to bike over a 6 mile segment of the trail for a total of 12 miles round trip. The trip is estimated to take 75-90 minutes\, including a break to rehydrate. \nAll participants will need to bring their own bike\, a bike safety helmet\, and are expected to follow safety guidelines as outlined in the Ride Smart Biking tips. \nWe also advise all bikers to bring along: water for hydration\, sunglasses\, sunscreen\, and a small snack (granola bar\, dried fruit\, nuts\, etc). \nDate: Wednesday\, March 29\, 2023. \nTime: Meet a little before 10 a.m. so we can begin biking at 10:00. \nPlace: Green River trail parking located behind Holiday Inn-Express\, 90 Andover Park E\, Tukwila\, WA 98188 (map below). \nDistance: About 12 miles\, round trip.
