DESCRIPTION:From our friends at WABI Burien:\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWABI Burien Weekday Bikers will cycle the Alki Trail on Wednesday\, June 28\, 2023. \n\n\n\n\n\nWe will plan to meet a little before 10 a.m. at the Delridge Community Center parking lot (address below) and cycle north\, picking up the Alki trail along Harbor Avenue SW.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will take a detour to Jack Block Park before continuing around picturesque Duwamish Head and along Alki Beach.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe ride continues past Alki Point lighthouse\, then south to Constellation Park for views of the Olympics and Mt Rainier before returning.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe total distance is slightly less than 12 miles on paved flat surfaces. Expected duration: 90 minutes.\n\n\n\n\n\nAll participants will need to bring their own bike\, a bike safety helmet\, and are expected to follow safety guidelines as outlined in the Ride Smart Biking tips.  We also advise all bikers to bring: water for hydration\, sunglasses\, sunscreen\, and a small snack (granola bar\, dried fruit\, nuts\, etc).\n\n\n\n\n\nDate: Wednesday\, June 28\, 2023.\nTime: Meet a little before 10 a.m. so we can begin biking at 10:00.\nPlace: 4501 Delridge Way SW\, Seattle 98106 (map below).\nWho: Bikers of all ability levels.\nDistance: About 12 miles\, round trip.
