SUMMARY:White Center Food Bank's ‘Taste of White Center’ returns Saturday\, June 28
DESCRIPTION:The White Center Food Bank will host its annual “Taste of White Center” event on Saturday\, June 28\, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.\, showcasing the neighborhood’s diverse restaurant community while raising funds to support vital food access programs. \nMore than 30 local eateries — including favorites like Puffy Pandy\, Sap Sap Lao Café\, El Catrín and Salvadorean Bakery — will participate in the family-friendly festival\, offering $5 tastings of items such as bánh mì\, tacos\, bubble tea\, pizza\, and desserts. \nAttendees will be able to purchase tasting tickets at the event’s central booth\, located at 16th Ave SW and 98th St in downtown White Center. \nEvent proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit the food bank\, while sponsorship dollars help participating restaurants cover food and operational costs. \nEach $5 ticket can be exchanged for a small plate\, drink\, or dessert at participating restaurants. \nA printed menu with a map and dish descriptions will be provided to each guest. \nQuantities are limited and offered on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nThe event will also include music\, a kids’ activity area\, vendors\, and other family-friendly attractions. \nWhite Center Food Bank has long been a critical resource for South King County.
