SUMMARY:Celebrate Earth Day by helping trees grow at Miller Creek Trail on Saturday\, April 22
DESCRIPTION:All are invited to join your Miller-Walker Basin Steward\, City of Burien staff\, and local community on Saturday\, April 22\, 2023 to weed and mulch around young trees and plants to help them grow into healthy streamside vegetation\, pick up litter\, and make your local trails and creeks better for people\, fish\, and wildlife. \nNo experience is necessary\, and gloves and tools are provided. Please sign up! \n\n\nWHEN: Saturday\, April 22\, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nWHERE: Meet at the Miller Creek Trail Trailhead at 14455 Des Moines Memorial Drive\, Burien\, WA 98168 (click for map).\n\n\nWhat to Bring:\n\n\nGardening gloves/work gloves (we will have some available to borrow)\n\n\n\nClosed-toe shoes are required! (ex: sturdy sneakers\, rain boots\, hiking boots. No sandals\, heels\, or flats)\n\n\n\nLayers of clothing that can get dirty\n\n\n\nLong sleeves and thick leg coverings to protect against thorny plants (shorts or capris are not recommended)\n\n\n\nRain gear -OR- sunblock and a sun hat (be sure to check the weather)\n\n\n\nFull water bottle\n\n\n\nSnacks\n\nCOVID-19 Considerations & Protocols:\n\n\nWe want to keep everyone safe.
