DESCRIPTION:Evergreen High School will welcome alumni\, families and community members for one final stroll through the original campus buildings during a farewell event on Saturday\, June 14\, from Noon to 2 p.m. \nThe event\, titled “Evergreen Farewell: One Last Look\,” invites guests to explore select areas of the campus before the school transitions into a newly constructed facility this summer. \nVisitors can walk through the gym\, library\, 200 building and athletic fields\, reconnect with old classmates\, enjoy light refreshments and take photos to commemorate the occasion. \nThe school\, located at 830 SW 116th Street\, first opened in 1955 and has been a staple of the White Center community for nearly 70 years. \nThe farewell marks the end of an era for the original school buildings\, which are set to be demolished to make way for new softball and baseball fields and expanded parking as part of Highline Public Schools’ district-wide capital improvements. \nParking will be available in the west lot near the football field\, with limited additional parking in the south lot near the library.
