Volunteers are needed this Saturday, Sept. 14 to meet neighbors, remove invasive plants, and clean up litter at Roxhill Park.

The event starts at 9 a.m.

“The park covers a large area including a bog/wetlands and we are always looking for more hands to help keep the park beautiful for the whole community.

“You will be trained by our core volunteer team what to do and the best practices in safely collecting litter in the area. If you are interested in removing invasive plants you will be provided an area of focus to do so.”

WHEN: Saturday, Sept 14, 9 a.m.

WHAT TO BRING: We have gloves, buckets, wheelbarrows, trash bags and pickers for trash removal. Please bring your own garden gloves and pruning shears if you plan to focus on the invasive plants.

WHERE: Meet near the parking lot off SW Barton Street and 29th Ave SW.

PARKING: Parking lot on 29th Ave SW between Barton and Cambridge. Route 21 and the C Line have a bus stop at the north end of the park.
