The King County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that deputies recently stopped a stolen car in White Center, then recovered a gun, meth and heroin:

Police say that on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020 at approximately 11:24 p.m., a King County Deputy was driving northbound in the 11300 block of 26th Ave South (map below) and noticed a suspicious vehicle in front of him making a quick turn to the entrance of an apartment complex in White Center, in unincorporated King County.

The deputy ran the plate through dispatch and discovered that it was reported stolen just that morning from a different location in White Center. The deputy turned on his overhead lights, stopped the vehicle and ordered the driver to step out of the car. The driver was compliant and exited the vehicle. Once it was verified, through the VIN number, that the vehicle was stolen, the man was arrested for investigation of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.

The deputies were granted consent to search by the owner of the stolen car and located a backpack which belonged to the suspect driver. A search of the backpack located a loaded magazine with 9mm hollow point bullets. Deputies also noted that they found a “small chunk of brown sticky substance” on the center console with a “crystal like substance” in a clear plastic bag. Both of these items tested positive for methamphetamine and heroin.

The suspect was then transported to he King County Jail with a charge of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act (VUCSA).
