Seattle & King County has issued a toxic algae warning for Hicklin Lake in White Center.

Warning signs have been posted around the lake.

Here’s what officials advise:

    • People and pets should not swim at the lake, drink lake water, or engage in other water-contact activities at Hicklin Lake.
    • If fishing for consumption, clean fish well and discard guts.
    • Call your doctor or veterinarian if you or your animals have sudden or unexplained sickness or signs of poisoning.
