The construction of the new Evergreen High School in White Center is making significant strides, with the project scheduled to welcome students by September, 2025.

Recent aerial and site photos highlight the development underway, part of the 2022 bond-funded initiative aimed at revitalizing school infrastructure across the district.

One of the more unusual features visible in the construction area is a series of large concrete structures that some might mistake for oversized bathtubs. These are, in fact, seven substantial underground vaults designed to handle stormwater and comply with King County’s environmental permitting requirements. These vaults underscore the district’s commitment to sustainability, ensuring that the new campus meets stringent water management standards.

Despite the scale of the project, district officials report that the construction remains within budget and on schedule. Highline Public Schools, along with project partners Bassetti Architects, Cornerstone General Contractors, Inc., and Vanir, continue to monitor progress closely to ensure timely completion and quality standards.

The new Evergreen High School is part of Highline Public Schools’ broader efforts to improve learning environments through careful planning and community-backed funding, represented by the #HighlineBuilds and #keepingourpromise initiatives.
