A carjacking that began in Seattle ended with a dramatic crash in Burien early Friday, Dec. 6, 2024 at around 1:30 a.m., as Seattle Police pursued armed carjacking suspects to 4th Ave SW and SW 130th Street (map below).
Despite an intensive search involving a K9 unit and a King County Sheriff’s Office helicopter, the suspects remain at large.
According to Seattle Police, four suspects fled on foot after crashing the stolen vehicle.
The pursuit began when Seattle P.D. officers located the stolen car in the 5500 block of 22nd Ave NE in Seattle and initiated a chase, which concluded with the crash in Burien.
Officers searched the area with assistance from Guardian 1 and K9 teams, but the suspects were not found.
The stolen vehicle was towed to the Seattle Police Department’s North Precinct for evidence processing as part of the ongoing investigation.
King County Sheriff’s deputies assisted at the scene before turning the case back over to Seattle Police, who are handling the primary investigation.
