As 2024 draws to a close, the White Center Food Bank is reporting an unprecedented increase in demand for its services during the Winter Holiday food distribution.

Visits to the food bank have risen by 40% compared to last year, reflecting the growing need in the community.

“We predicted that our central location would mean more families could easily find us,” organizers said. “We did not foresee 40% more customer visits over 2023, many days doubling the amount we saw last year. More and more, families are relying on our food bank for the culturally familiar produce and high-quality food we distribute.”

Donations support efforts to provide vital food assistance and help meet the increased demand during the holiday season.

Contributions can be made through the food bank’s website or by contacting the organization directly. Every donation, big or small, helps sustain its mission to combat hunger and provide essential resources to families in need.
