The Port of Seattle on Friday announced that it has extended the public comment period for the draft environmental review of near term projects in its Sustainable Airport Master Plan (SAMP) at Sea-Tac Airport, giving residents and cities near the airport until Aug. 20 to respond.

Previously, the Port’s deadline was set for July 21.

The comment period for the SAMP now ends at 5 p.m. Pacific time Aug. 20, according to a notice from the Port of Seattle.

The Port said it decided to extend the comment period by 30 days after taking into consideration requests it received to extend the deadline.

The draft document is available online through the Available Materials section of the SAMP Environmental Review for Near Term Projects website. The website also lists locations where hard copies may be reviewed, according to the Port.

Comments may be submitted electronically to SAMP@portseattle.org or through the project website. Written comments may be mailed to:
