A shooting occurred late Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 15, 2024, at approximately 5:20 p.m. in the 10600 block of 16th Avenue SW (map below), in the unincorporated White Center area.

One victim was reported injured, though their condition remains unknown at this time.

Deputies from the King County Sheriff’s Office responded quickly to the scene at/near a car wash, and were able to apprehend a suspect shortly after the shooting.

Authorities added that this is an active and ongoing investigation.

At present, law enforcement officials have not identified any further threats to the community.
