The King County Sheriff’s Office announced this week the conclusion of a multi-month investigation that led to the dismantling of a drug trafficking organization linked to the Sinaloa Cartel in the south King County area.

The operation – conducted by the department’s Special Emphasis Team – resulted in the seizure of large quantities of fentanyl and other narcotics intended for distribution in White Center, Burien, and Kent.

Detectives, along with K9 Quinn, recovered:

  • 6.63 pounds of Fentanyl powder
  • 32,000 Fentanyl M30 pills
  • 11.7 grams Methamphetamine
  • 3 grams of Cocaine
  • More than $29,500 in cash

The estimated street value of the confiscated drugs is $338,000.

Two suspects were arrested and booked on charges of possession with intent to distribute.

The Special Emphasis Team’s work, which involved the department’s K-9 unit, reflects a focused effort to combat fentanyl distribution networks impacting South King County communities.

“A job well done,” police said in a statement.
