A man riding an electric scooter without a helmet was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025 in White Center after he fled from deputies and discarded a gun, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office said a traffic deputy attempted to stop the man on Wednesday when he took off running and tossed a firearm.
Deputies quickly caught up with him and placed him under arrest.
Investigators said the man is a convicted felon with outstanding warrants and is not legally allowed to possess a firearm.
The weapon had been reported stolen.
The suspect was booked into jail on suspicion of possession of a stolen firearm, narcotics possession and the felony warrants, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
