King County Parks is asking residents in the Roxbury Heights and North Highline area near White Center to share their thoughts on improving access to the natural area surrounding Seola Pond.
Here’s more info from the county:
“As part of the Land Conservation Initiative, King County has created a plan to protect the last important natural lands. This includes focusing on green spaces in cities to help make neighborhoods healthier places to live. In this process, parts of the Roxbury Heights/North Highline area were found to have very little access to parks or nature, and many people living there also face health and income challenges. The Seola Pond project could help by bringing more access to outdoor recreation and nature for the surrounding community.
“We would love to hear from you! Please take five minutes to complete the survey by clicking on it below:”

The deadline for feedback is Oct. 30.
King County Parks has spent the past several years working with landowners and agency partners to explore opportunities to improve access to the area.
The survey gives residents a chance to weigh in on that effort.
