King County Parks White Center Teen Program will be holding its 30 Year Anniversary Celebration on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 5–8 p.m. at Steve Cox Memorial Park.

“Calling all current and former Log Cabin teens and staff! The White Center Teen Program is turning 30 and still going strong,” organizers said.

All are invited to come help celebrate on Friday, June 30 at Steve Cox Memorial Park (1321 SW 102nd 98146; map below) including an epic Kickball Tournament from 5–8 p.m., family friendly Learning Garden projects, a painting workshop for all ages with local WC artist PAZ from 5–6 p.m., Arts and Crafts led by the Recreation Aides, and ongoing tours of the White Center Teen Program.

The WCTP has involved more than 30,000 participants since 1991, and right now, the program serves 1,400 young people each year, aged 12 -19 years old.

The program operates five days a week, forty-eight weeks a year and provides structured recreational classes and programs, homework assistance, educational and computer resources, leadership training, volunteer opportunities, special events, field trips, and drop-in activities.
