The monthly Rat City Art Walk will return to White Center this Thursday night, June 18, bringing artists, vendors, food specials and community activities to businesses throughout the White Center business core.
The event will run from 5 to 8 p.m. and is presented by the White Center Business Alliance. Organizers are encouraging residents and visitors to stroll through the neighborhood and visit the many artists and businesses participating in this month’s walk.
According to organizers, the June event coincides with the start of summer break for many students and is expected to take place during favorable weather conditions.
More than 20 businesses are participating, hosting artists, makers and special promotions throughout the evening. Participating locations include restaurants, breweries, bars, galleries, retail shops and community spaces spread throughout the White Center business district.

The event will feature a wide variety of artists and creators, including painters, photographers, craftspeople, live DJs and community art activities. Several venues will also offer special food and beverage promotions during the walk.
Highlights include a fútbol themed art show at Nepantla Cultural Arts Gallery, a live DJ and art activities at Terraplanted, a community painting activity at Proletariat Pizza and a special Night Walk beginning at 8 p.m. at 2 Fingers Social for guests age 21 and older.
Many participating locations are designated as pet friendly, according to event organizers.
