The Washington State Patrol is asking for the public’s help identifying a white van believed to be involved in a fatal hit and run collision on SR 509 in King County that claimed the life of a motorcyclist last year.
As we previously reported, the crash occurred on Sept. 13, 2025, at approximately 11:40 p.m. when Benjamin McIntyre was riding his motorcycle on SR 509 and approaching the Myers Way exit in White Center.
Troopers said a white van was traveling at a high rate of speed and crossed two lanes to take the exit. The van struck McIntyre, ejecting him from his motorcycle before continuing off the exit and leaving the scene.
Sadly, McIntyre died from injuries sustained in the collision.
Investigators described the suspect vehicle as a white van resembling a Sprinter type van with a distinctive window pattern. The van has two windows on the driver’s side and three windows on the passenger side.
The Washington State Patrol released photographs of the van and is asking anyone with information about the vehicle or its location to contact Detective Ivan Sergeev at Ivan.Sergeev@wsp.wa.gov.
